Due to drought conditions causing record low flows in the Ohinemuri River it has been necessary to use the reserve river the Waimakariri River as Sector V.

Rises from springs on the Mamaku Plateau east of Putaruru flows north west across farmland and joins the Waihou 3km above Okoroire Falls
Competiton water is from sorce down to Waihou River confluence. (All closed)
