In the WFFC we will fish three rivers (Ohinimuri, Waihou and Wanganui) plus two lakes viz: Rotoaira and Otamangakau. Please indicate up to 3 preferences for where you would like to control:

Please note that Biosecurity New Zealand has asked SFFNZ to ban the use of felt soled boots and waders during the week of the championship. As Didymo is such a major Biological threat to NZ waters, we have agreed and so such footwear may NOT be used by any associated person including controllers.

Controllers will be required to attended a class on these rules and also the special Rules Modifications to be used during this WFFC. This means that all controllers must be available on Tuesday 25th March pm at the Headquarters of the sector on which they will be controlling.

Controllers who do not have previous experience will still be eligible but must be able to attend a longer training session earlier on that Tuesday so should plan to arrive early in the afternoon. Alternatively, if you are willing act as a controller in the NZ National Championships on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th, January 2008, training will be given on the Friday evening prior to the start of the river fishing part of the competition.

The package for overseas controllers will include participation in the Opening and Closing functions. Tickets have also been reserved for those local controllers who work for all three days of the championship so they can attend the Closing Ceremony on Saturday afternoon and the subsequent Banquet on Saturday night. Accomodation in Rotorua will not be provided but tickets to these events will be?
