Sector I - Whanganui River (Free Stone)

Fish type: Rainbow and Brown trout.

Fish size: up to 65cm/9lb.

Location and access:
Roads follow both banks from Taumarunui for 15km until the river enters inaccessible bush-clad country in Whanganui National Park.

Competition water is from From Morero Terrace Victory Bridge in Taumarunui upstream to Whakapapa River confluence .

License Type: Fish & Game License required.
